Every day, thousands of people are forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution, violence, political instability, or religious oppression. According to the UNHCR, there are now over 110 million displaced people worldwide—many of whom have crossed borders in search of safety, identity, and the basic right to live in peace.
Refugees are not just victims of conflict—they are survivors of chaos. Their stories are marked by loss, uncertainty, and resilience. Behind every statistic is a family, a dream, a life interrupted. At Intermissions International Commission, we believe that no human being should ever be illegal—and that every displaced person deserves dignity, protection, and a path forward.
From ancient times, scripture has called the people of faith to care for the stranger, the traveler, and the outcast. The Messiah Himself was a refugee in Egypt as a child. The command to welcome the foreigner is not optional—it is holy duty.
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” — Hebrews 13:2
“You shall love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.” — Deuteronomy 10:19
At Intermissions, we respond to displacement not with distance or denial, but with compassion, community, and concrete action.
Our Refugee & Asylum Support Program is built on a multi-tiered model of response, recovery, and reintegration. We serve both individuals in immediate crisis and those navigating the long journey of rebuilding their lives.
We provide immediate aid to refugees fleeing from war zones, religious persecution, or natural disasters. This includes food supplies, shelter materials, clothing, hygiene kits, and trauma-informed spiritual care. Our rapid-response teams partner with local churches and border aid centers to reach people quickly and safely.
Navigating immigration systems is often overwhelming. We offer support in understanding asylum procedures, connecting with legal aid partners, and preparing documentation. We walk alongside asylum seekers as advocates and companions, helping them access protection and due process.
In collaboration with ministries and humanitarian networks, we help provide temporary housing and safe spaces for displaced families. These shelters offer more than beds—they offer security, rest, and a sense of human belonging.
Our long-term focus is reintegration. We support:
We don’t just want refugees to survive—we want them to flourish.
Our refugee programs currently operate in:
Wherever people flee—we go.
Refugees don’t need charity—they need solidarity. Our work is not a handout but a hand extended in shared humanity and Kingdom values. We do not see strangers—we see family waiting to be embraced.
Through prayer, partnership, and prophetic advocacy, we declare that displacement is not the end of the story. In Yahuah’s eyes, no one is forgotten.
You can be the reason someone sleeps safely tonight. You can bring hope across borders.
“For I was a stranger and you welcomed Me…” — Matthew 25:35
No one chooses to be a refugee. But together, we can choose to respond with compassion, courage, and commitment. Join us in restoring the lives of the displaced, one family at a time.
